Before you think of the beard transplant, make sure that you wait long enough before you give up.

How Much Does a Beard Transplant Cost

That being said, beard transplants could be in partial parts of your beard or could include your whole beard. Depending on the area that needs implantation, the cost will vary.

We’ll set the cost of the surgery in the USA as our benchmark. The partial transplant ranges from $3,000 to $7,000 while the full transplant costs anywhere between $8,000 and $15,000.

For convenience, we’ll also be using the U.S. dollar as our standard currency throughout the article.

We’ll list a handful of countries outside the United States with the average cost of beard transplants in each.

The research we’ve undergone doesn’t include every single clinic in every country we mention. You may find a clinic that offers cheaper prices than the ones we’re about to mention.

Additionally, keep in mind that the prices we’re going to list may change if you’re reading this article years after it has come out.

1. Spain

Prices of beard implantation in Spain are fairly less than it is in the United States. The partial beard transplant starts from $3,200 while the full beard transplant could cost you up to $7500.

Most of the clinics in Spain average a rating of 8.5/10 from tens of users. So it’s safe to assume that the results are satisfying.

2. The United Kingdom

The UK offers beard transplantation at a slightly higher price than Spain, but still largely less than the US.

Partial beard transplant cost anywhere between $2,700 and $4,700. The maximum you could pay for a full beard transplant wouldn’t exceed $6,600.

The ratings are also a bit higher than in Spain, with an average of 8.7 out of 10. You should be satisfied with the service you get in the UK.

3. Bulgaria

You can do a partial beard transplant in Bulgaria starting from $2000. However, a full beard transplant can cost you up to $6,400.

The average rating of the clinics we’ve researched ranges between 7.6 and 8.2. Which is noticeably less than Spain and the UK.

4. Turkey

Tourism in Turkey for beard transplants is one of the most common types of tourism in that country.

Turkey offers one of the cheapest (if not the cheapest) beard transplant procedures. We’re yet to find a country that offers lower prices with good results.

In Turkey, you’d need to spend $2,100 for a partial beard transplant, and only $2700 for a full transplant.

Keep in mind that $2700 is the maximum we could find. Most clinics average $2,300 for a full beard transplant.

Compared to the US, that’s less than 30% of the price. This is why visiting Turkey to get beard transplants is incredibly popular.

5. Netherlands

The Netherlands doesn’t have a big margin between partial and full beard transplants.

The minimum cost of a beard transplant in the Netherlands starts from $2,700. On the other hand, you’re not expected to pay any more than $3,500 for a full beard transplant.

6. Germany

Germany is another country on our list with a low price range. Starting from only $1,700; you could get a partial beard transplant with guaranteed results.

If you’d like to get a full beard transplant, the cost should average between $2,500 and  $3,000.

7. Poland

We haven’t been able to find enough clinics in Poland as we did in other countries. Our price range might not be as accurate as it often was.

That being said, beard transplant in Poland could be as low as $1,200 for partial beard transplant. For a full beard transplant, you could expect a price between $2,500 to $3,000.

What Should You Expect From Beard Transplant Surgery

What Should You Expect From Beard Transplant Surgery

A beard transplant is considered a safe surgery, but that doesn’t make it an easy one. A full beard transplant could take over seven hours of delicate work.

Keep in mind that it doesn’t require general anesthesia. Only the skin in your chin and jawline gets numbed. That means you’d need to sit still for prolonged periods.

Additionally, you won’t be able to shave your beard or wash it right away. The recovery process takes a few weeks before you could treat your new beard normally.

The urge to scratch or even pull out your beard hair will be high. Under any circumstances, don’t do that.

FAQs

We’ll go over some frequently asked questions for more clarification.

Is the Beard Transplant Surgery Worth The High Cost?

The answer to this question depends on how much you want to have a beard. If you just like the idea of having a beard, the cost may seem too much for you.

However, if you fancy the idea, the high price may be justified for you. The results are often very satisfying and could last many years with proper care.

How Long is The Recovery After Surgery?

The recovery time of beard transplantation is fairly less than other types of surgery. You can walk right after the operation is over, but most people prefer to take the following day off.

You may experience some swelling or crust formation in the donor site. However, follow the instructions of your surgeon and your beard skin should recover within a few days.

You could help your beard recover by applying face lotion

When Can I Shave After Transplant?

Your beard skin may recover in a few days, but you shouldn’t attempt to shave your beard before at least two weeks.

That also includes grooming, scratching, and excessive touching. You should refrain from doing any of these actions for a minimum of 14 days after the surgery.

Will Beard Transplants Cover Cleft Lip Scars?

Normal beards can cover cleft lip scars perfectly. Transplanted beards are no exception. Some men get a transplanted beard purely to cover the scars over their lips and faces.

If covering a scar on your face is the reason why you want a transplant, then go for it. It’s worth it.

Can Beard Transplants Cover Facial Burns?

The surgeon has to examine the skin of your face to determine that answer. However, the surgery is often more than enough to cover the burns on your face.

That serves as a massive confidence boost as the hair conceals these unfortunate burn marks.

Final Thoughts

How much does a beard transplant cost outside the USA? Much less. It’s probably why it’s often done abroad.

It’s still relatively expensive, though. You should be fully invested in having a beard before getting a transplant. Otherwise, you’ll feel that you lost money.

The results, however, are often satisfying. You can still join the beard gang after all.
